Brief story about Garden Care Tree Surgeons/Arborists
Garden Care was first established in 1989 and our Arborists and Gardeners been servicing Medway and the surrounding areas for 35 years. As the business has grown, it’s Team Members and services offered has also expanded.
The beauty of Garden Care is that we have every service available to provide our customers with all their tree and gardening requirements for a beautiful garden.
Our team of Arborists are very professional and highly experienced to help with any of your tree maintenance requirements..
Garden Care is a very reliable service, from our Tree Surgery to our gardening. We may not always come on the timetabled day, because of the weather or something similar, but we do always come.
Customers do not have to worry about whether or not we will turn up; we always do. Worry about the garden becomes a thing of the past—customers who have been with us for a long time value this.

Our team of expert Arborists and Gardeners
We’re all qualified and experienced Arborists/Gardeners, but most of us have an additional qualification and skill from landscaping, to carpentry and pressure washing.
Our Arborists are very well trained and enthusiastic is their roles of looking after our customer’s trees and our gardeners are interested and enthusiastic about the gardens they tend and are as proud to look after them for customers, as customers have been in the past when they looked after them themselves. Gardeners are happy to discuss things to be done with our customers and enjoy customers taking an interest in the garden as much as they do themselves. Some customers have no interest in gardening whatsoever, which is why they call. They want to enjoy it when they have some leisure time. That is, of course, absolutely fine, we are happy to be of service to these customers.

Head Arborist/Tree Surgeon
Sven is a very capable and experienced Arborist. He looks after all of our Customer’s Trees and runs our younger Arborists.
Josh
Arborist/Gardener Apprentice
Josh is very keen on trees and gardens. He is already very knowledgeable and knows the job well. He is always ready to give 100% to get customers the best possible results.
James 1
Head Gardener & Arborist Apprentice
James works at an incredible rate and customers love his Enthusiasm. He is very good at Hedge Trimming and tackles some of our larger more demanding hedges.

James is a very good apprentice and progressing really well. He is very head strong and works hard for customers.

Head Gardener & Landscaper
Sam is highly competent and looks after many of our more demanding and involved gardens. She has excellent knowledge of plants and everything to do with garden maintenance.

Liz’s small but very robust! An experienced gardener, who has worked in gardening before coming to us. She has worked as a helper for several years and then started her Level 2 R.H.S in Gardening course.
Keith
Head Gardener & Carpenter
Keith is a very capable and experienced gardener, who also carries out a lot of our ‘one off’ work. Keith is also a qualified carpenter and carries out our woodwork jobs such as decking.
John

John is an experienced gardener, he is very reliable and carries out regular maintenance and a lot of one off work as well as some of the more demanding Heavy Duty Striming and Garden Clearances.

Vicky is an experienced hard working apprentice gardener and her attention to detail in borders and care for plants is like no other producing beautiful results every time.

Lewis may be an Apprentice, but with all his hard effort he puts in he will soon be a Head Gardener. Customers love how polite he is as well as his hard work and attention to detail.

Jack’s our gardener apprentice and helper. He’s currently completing his Level 2 R.H.S in Gardening course. A good worker and very helpful to all the gardeners. He’s also interested in becoming qualified in tree work.

How we work
Our gardeners process
We offer complete garden maintenance. So, our gardeners will do whatever needs to be done to keep it looking neat and tidy. We don’t ‘only do mowing’ or ‘only do mowing and strimming’ or only do ‘mowing, strimming and hedging’. We do everything to do with garden maintenance.
Our head gardener will cast their experienced eye over your whole garden and decide what must be tackled that day as well as the more obvious tasks of strimming, mowing and hoeing. They will guide our apprentice helpers. More experienced helpers will know the jobs that are their responsibility and get on with them. However, our less experienced helpers will wait for instructions from the gardener, if need be. Most helpers commence with mowing while the head gardener talks to our customers briefly.
what we can do
Skill and talent
Our three most experienced gardeners have all tended Mrs Norris’s Parterre Garden. They left it as expertly trimmed as you see in one of our pictures. It does show how highly skilled they are in what they do. Many customers have box hedging (Buxus sempervirens), perhaps not as involved as Mrs Norris’s but all requiring a reasonable amount of skill and talent with the hedge trimmer.
Tracey King30/05/2024I have recently used Garden Care Tree Surgeons to have two rows of tall conifer trees taken down to ground level. I can not recommend them highly enough. Communication from their office is spot on and everyone I have dealt with has been friendly and knowledgeable. The tree work was carried out to a high standard and the clear up after was amazing - if I did not have two rows of trees missing, I wouldn't even know that someone had been in my garden!!
justin french09/05/2024Very pleased with the Garden Care Tree Surgeons team, they took great care to keep me informed (and my neighbors) on what they needed to do and were very tidy and efficient in taking down a very large Ash tree. They left no mess behind and I couldn't recommend them more.
Doug Laming19/04/2024Garden Care removed 13 metres of old dead hedgerow and planted establish yew trees to form new hedgerow and taken 6ft off a 30 metre fir tree hedge. Great job, very professional, tidy and hardworking. Would thoroughly recommend and use again for other garden and tree work. Thanks Garden Care !

After years of trying different gardeners I’m happy to say these ones are the best. (Used to have terrible gardeners before who used to say they will turn up but doesn’t). Now I’ve been with Garden care for over three years now, I won’t look for anyone else. They have all the tools on board, always turns up on the scheduled day and work tirelessly. Met various staff over the years - all are very nice and polite. Work in some rain and can do all aspect of garden care. Very quick and responsive. Ciaran and Ceri, Craig and L (Lewis I think) are particularly fun/hard workers and takes pride in their work. Thank you for looking after my garden. Very happy customer.
