Garden Care offers Garden Services in Medway and surrounding towns. We categorise this service as a one-off, which includes various aspects of your garden.

Therefore, with our one-off service, you can book as few or as many hours as you require. However, it can be challenging to estimate the amount of time to bring your garden to life again, so it’s best to book a few hours first. Then, once you see how fast we work, you can accurately predict how much more time is needed. As this service is ad-hoc, there isn’t a monthly contract.

One Off Gardening Services includes:

If your grass is becoming very long for whatever reason, you’ll need it mowed and strimmed around the edges. There are many benefits of cutting your lawn down to a short length, particularly if done frequently.

• your garden will be neat and clean
• you’ll feel a sense of pride
• your lawn will become healthy
• mowing eliminates some pests and prevents invasion
• your grass will grow healthy

If your grass is really long you will require Heavy Duty Strimming, this is not availble at the usual “One Off” rate due to the cost of the equipment and difficulty of the work involved.  If you book under normal “One Off” work and your grass is too long, your Gardener might not be able to complete the work and it would have to be re-booked under Heavy Duty Strimming and you would have to wait for a new date. 

There are many reasons why weeds grow on your lawn, paths and flower beds. In short, anywhere there’s space, weeds will grow. Their seeds often lay dormant for many years in poor soil for planting or near grass seeds. However, once they begin to grow, they spread thousands of seeds, which only make matters worse. We address this by using Cultural methods first (i.e. Hand weeding, Hoeing, digging.)  chemical solutions second where Cultural methods are not productive.  We have a range of high quality Herbicides to use on your lawn, flower beds and baths to control the problem.

Some Pruning can be carried out under One off work, such as standard roses and shrubs, however some Specialist Pruning Tasks would require our RHS Gardeners, or if Tree Pruning you might require our Tree Surgeons.

Our Gardeners can aerate your borders by first weeding and gently hoeing over the soil around your plants.  Digging of holes, large areas, digging out shrubs is not allowed under our One Off Garden Services. You can have this work carried out under our Digging service.

Our Gardeners are equipped with powerful Hedge Trimmers ready to deal with your hedges.  Under our One Off Gardening Service Gardeners can complete hedges up to 7ft, this is due to insurance purposes. Any hedges above this require our specialist Gardeners who can tackle large hedges or possibly our Tree Surgeons.

Leaves dropping from trees and plants in autumn can make your garden a real mess. We offer to clear these up for you, so you can still enjoy the beauty of your garden as the weather begins to drop a little.

Our Gardeners can carry out Planting of small plants under our One Off Gardening Service, however planting of large items would require more planning and so would require a quote.

We have a variety of high quality Herbicides available to help control weeds on paths, driveways and patios.

We supply a high quality Herbicide available to help control weeds on your lawn allowing your grass to thrive and look its best.

We supply a range of insecticides to help control pests and diseases, Aphids (Greenfly, Blackfly), Caterpillars (Especially on buxus Sempervirens (Box Hedging) they will shred the leaves and eventually kill the plant, we have a very good solution for this!), Fungus control (Black Spot, Powdery Mildew, Rust).
